This chapter draws a closer look on the current scenarios on food waste management, opportunities, challenges, and efforts of achieving the sustainable development goal. In addition, we aim to investigate the potential contribution of resource recovery from food waste to circular economy which can support sustainable economic growth and reduce environmental burdens.
